West Peninsula Villas Caramoan
To complete the Survivor-like experience, we booked at West Peninsula Villas in Caramoan, the hotel where some cast and crew of the reality TV show, Survivor stayed. The two-hour boat ride from Sabang took us to Guijalo Port where we were picked up by a van from West Pen. The native design resort has props and mementos from Survivor. Amenities include a gym, a swimming pool, and a dining hall.

We were supposed to stay in the main building, but something went wrong with our booking. So we ended up in the annex building; not as pretty as the ones inside their main building but the rooms were clean and decent just the same so I didn’t really mind. To know the room rates, click here.
Food
West Pen serves great-tasting food, which made our stay all the more satisfying. Whenever we gather in the dining hall, it was like a feast. There’s just too many delicious food to share.
Tour Package
We availed of West Pen’s package, which included, pick up from the port, hotel accommodations, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, entrance fees to the islands, tour guide, and private boat for island hopping. I know for a fact that DIY trips are cheaper and more exciting but it can be tiring and the possibility that troubles may arise is high. In my opinion, getting a tour package is wiser if you want to go to Caramoan. The arrangement saved us from the trouble of having to hire a boat ride and a tour guide, deciding which islands to visit, and finding food to eat. [Read: The Islands of Caramoan]

According kay Roy, yung Philippine staff daw ng Survivor USA sa West Pen nag-stay so I take it binigay sa hotel yung props.
ang cute naman ng West Pen, not the typical looking inn or villa you find at most destinations here. at ang Survivor props – binigay kaya sa kanila o kinuha nila patago? hehe 🙂
