I came across Goose’s Nest Coffee Shop & Bar while walking down a street near my hostel. The establishment’s enigmatic appearance piqued my curiosity, prompting me to enter. Named as both a coffee shop and bar, Goose’s Nest appeared to be a hidden gem and is situated on a quiet lane. The vintage industrial design featuring brick walls, concrete floors, and repurposed decor created a cozy yet rugged ambiance reminiscent of a garage. The limited seating and repurposed furniture, including gas containers turned into stools, added to the unique charm. It offers free WiFi, a few accessible electrical outlets, and serves well-crafted espresso-based drinks.

Tanva Kafae is what I like to call a delightful accident, a hidden gem I stumbled upon while I was searching for a restaurant. Sitting beneath a condominium building on Changphuak Soi 2, this charming cafe boasts a bohemian ambiance that radiates cozy vibes. Despite its modest size, Tanva Kafae has complimentary Wi-Fi and a few of power outlets. While seating may be limited, the experience is well worth it. Don’t miss the chance to savor an iced coffee paired with the delectable salted egg mochi. To top it all off, the cafe is personally overseen by its warm and friendly owner, who greets every visitor with a heartfelt smile.

Situated close to the historic Tha Phae Gate, Tapae Gate Kafe is the in-house cafe of Tapae Gate Villa. They have a diverse selection of Thai and Western delicacies and some of the best dishes to try are khao soi, pad see ew, and tom yum goong. While a small outdoor seating area provides a charming spot to savor your meal, the majority of the seating is found indoors, offering a cozy retreat from the bustling streets. The cafe is well-equipped with both WiFi and accessible power outlets for added convenience. It’s worth noting, however, that this establishment operates on a cash-only basis.
