Fahtara Coffee: Best Cafe in a Spa in Chiang Mai, Thailand
I just had one of the best massage experiences at Fah Lanna Spa and I came out feeling fully relaxed and invigorated. As I strolled towards the exit, a charming little place called Fahtara Coffee caught my eye, and I thought I should hang out for a bit.

Cappuccino

I ordered a cup of cappuccino and was impressed to see its fat foamy surface. I mentioned this because some coffee shops Iโve been to donโt seem to know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino, thus Iโm happy that Fahtara Coffee got it right. As with the taste, I found it to be slightly bitter so I had to add a bit of sugar to lighten up the flavor.
But the thing that I will remember about Fahtara Coffee the most was meeting an old man who is one of its regulars. I shared a table with him and at first, he was busy reading a newspaper, then later on decided to engage me in a long conversation.
He is a Hong Kong national who has been living in Chiang Mai for years. If memory serves me right, the man is somewhere in his 70s. He was scrawny and smiled with his eyes; his teeth were discolored and uneven. He was wearing a blue, collared shirt and a pair of light-colored pants. I learned so much about him in just an hour that I was there.
Eventually, I had to take leave and so I got up from my seat and shook his hand. His name was Richard and I was happy to have shared a cup of coffee with him that one sunny day in Chiang Mai.
