We walked along the sea shore of Alona Beach in the afternoon searching for a cafe. Because of the white-sand beach and the numerous establishments that line the shore, Alona is often compared with Boracay. I figured the island would be much livelier at night and I regret that we wouldn’t be there to see it. Still, we enjoyed a few hours of our stay in Alona, especially when we found this charming coffee shop, The Buzz Cafe.
On the first floor, the cafe has a store that sells pastries, spreads, ice cream, among others. On the second floor is the restaurant cafe, with a full view of the beach. The interior design was a shock of vibrant colors and fun decorating pieces. There are so many interesting pieces to see, it was kind of like going in a museum.
Since we had lunch before going there, we settled for some drinks and snack. Then we lounged in a big couch and spent hours talking and sharing stories. The Buzz Cafe has other branches in Bohol; one in Loboc and another one in the Island City Mall. I would suggest though that you visit the one in Alona beach because it is the most beautiful of them all. And it’s by the beach, which makes it all the more interesting.
